Backend solution

Since the project primarily revolves around the mobile application, it is crucial to consider alternative options for the conventional back-end application. This would help reduce the maintenance costs associated with it.

Context

With the increasing adoption of serverless technologies, various Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) and Headless Content Management System (Headless CMS) solutions have emerged in the market.

After conducting comprehensive research, I have created a visual mind map to present the analysis and comparison of various cloud services and their corresponding back-end solutions. Moreover, based on the findings, potential solutions have been suggested. Link

Conclusions

After conducting thorough research and analysis of various Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) solutions, our group has decided that Supabase is the most suitable option for our project. Our decision was based on several factors, including its seamless integration with our preferred front-end framework, its strong and growing community support, built-in scalability, developer-friendly interface, support for complex use cases through SQL, and effortless data migration. We believe that Supabase will provide us with all the necessary tools and features to meet our project's requirements effectively and help us achieve our goals efficiently.
